Terms of Service

Draft for the private beta · Last updated 19 Oct 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and VitalCPD, a registered business name in Australia, ABN 87 736 546 327 ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy policy. Questions: support@vitalcpd.com.au.

1. During the private beta

VitalCPD is in a private beta: it's new, still changing, and may have bugs. During the beta:

  • VitalCPD is free for invited testers. If you're asked to pay for Pro, the paid terms below apply.
  • Your records are kept and carried into the full product.
  • If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve VitalCPD, with no obligation to you.
  • Please keep your own copy of anything important. You can download your records at any time.

2. What VitalCPD is, and isn't

VitalCPD is a tool for keeping your own CPD records. It is not affiliated with Ahpra or any National Board, and it doesn't give professional, legal or regulatory advice.

We work hard to keep each Board's requirements accurate and link to the Board's own standard, but we can't guarantee that your CPD meets your Board's registration standard, or that the requirements shown are complete or current. It's your responsibility to know and meet your Board's requirements. If something we show differs from your Board's standard, the Board's standard applies.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Your records must be true. You're responsible for everything saved in your account, including dates, hours and reflections.
  • Check all AI-drafted text. AI writing help drafts entries from what you tell it and may suggest reflections, which are marked "AI suggested". Before you save, check that every entry is accurate and reflects your own learning. Once you save it, it's your record.
  • No identifiable patient or colleague information. Don't enter names, dates of birth, record numbers or other details that could identify a patient or a colleague.
  • Keep your account secure. Use a strong password, consider two-factor sign-in, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • Use VitalCPD lawfully. Don't misuse the service, try to get around its limits or security, or interfere with other people's use of it.

4. Plans and the free trial

  • The Free plan and Pro plan include what's described on our Pricing page.
  • Every new account gets a 14-day Pro trial. No card is needed. When it ends, you move to Free unless you've chosen Pro.
  • AI writing help has fair-use limits on each plan, shown on the Pricing page.

5. Paying for Pro

  • Pro costs A$5 a month or A$49 a year, in Australian dollars. No GST is charged while we're not registered for GST. Payments are handled by Stripe.
  • Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. For yearly plans, we email you about 14 days before each renewal.
  • If you upgrade during your trial, your first payment is taken when the trial ends (or straight away if less than two days are left).
  • You can cancel at any time in Settings → Plan and billing. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • If a payment fails, we'll tell you by email, and Stripe will try again over about two weeks. If it still fails, your plan moves to Free.
  • We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change affects you. You can cancel before it takes effect.

6. Refunds and your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. If something goes wrong with VitalCPD that the Consumer Law covers, contact us and we'll put it right as it requires, including a refund where you're entitled to one. Otherwise, payments aren't refunded for part-used periods, but cancelling stops future charges.

7. Your content and data

  • You own your records and the files you upload. You give us permission to store, process and display them only to run VitalCPD for you, including sending text to our AI provider when you use AI writing help (see the Privacy policy).
  • You can download all your data at any time, on any plan, including after you stop paying.
  • You can delete your account in Settings. It closes straight away, and everything is deleted after 14 days unless you change your mind.

8. The service

We take reasonable care to keep VitalCPD available, secure and backed up, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We'll try to give notice of planned maintenance. We may change or improve features; if a change significantly reduces what Pro includes, we'll tell you first, and you can cancel.

9. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or is used unlawfully. Where it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to download your data. You can stop using VitalCPD at any time.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the outcome of a Board audit or registration decision. Where our liability can be limited under the Australian Consumer Law, it's limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make an important change, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using VitalCPD after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.

12. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. You and we can bring proceedings in the courts of Tasmania, or any other Australian court that has jurisdiction.
