CPD requirements for osteopaths
What the Osteopathy Board of Australia's CPD registration standard asks of a osteopath with general registration, and how VitalCPD keeps your records ready for an audit.
What the Board requires
- At least 25 h of CPD each registration year (this one: 1 Dec 2025 – 30 Nov 2026).
- At least 4 h of board mandatory topics.
- Senior first aid certificate (level 2 or equivalent), renewed every 3 years (doesn't count toward your hours).
- CPD should focus on the clinical aspects of practice, including diagnosis, evidence-based practice and patient safety.
Registered part-way through the year? Your hours may be less (pro-rata). Work out your own hours.
